Course Description:

Unison™ Web Fidelity™ Service (WFS) 2.0 Installation & Configuration is a two-day, technical instructor–led course designed to provide a clear understanding of Bytemobile content adaptation solutions. It describes the WFS 2.0, how it is deployed in a network for client-server and clientless content adaptation, and the various content adaptation features and methods and supported devices and applications. The course covers Optimization Services Node (OSN) Monaco™ Edition interaction and Control and State Module (CSM) interaction and software installation, operation, administration, and management using the command-line interface (CLI) and the Cluster Manager CLI (CMCLI).

This course format is both lecture and hands-on lab exercises, including troubleshooting, to ensure an optimized student learning experience.

Target Audience:

Bytemobile customers (external and internal) and partners who desire an understanding of WFS solutions and may be responsible for their installation, operation, administration, and maintenance.

Prerequisites:

  • UNIX/Linux and Windows knowledge
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN and TCP/IP networking concepts

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this training course, the student will be able to:

  • Provide an overview definition of the Unison Web Fidelity Service (WFS) solution
  • Define the Bytemobile network services and management facilities framework
  • Describe the WFS deployment, architecture, features, and functions
  • Discuss the WFS system set-up and installation
  • Install the WFS module, CSM and OSN, and verify operation
  • Describe the WFS CLI and CMCLI configuration
  • Discuss WFS license management and management of WFS log files
  • Perform hands-on lab exercises including troubleshooting
