Course Description:

Unison™ Optimization Services Node (OSN) Monaco™ Edition 4.x Product Installation & Configuration is a three-day, technical instructor–led course designed to provide a clear understanding of Bytemobile optimization solutions. It describes OSN Monaco Edition 4.x, how it is deployed in a network for client-server and clientless optimization, and the various optimization services and methods and supported devices and applications. The course covers OSN and Control and State Module (CSM) software installation, operation, administration, and management using the command-line interface (CLI), the Cluster Manager CLI (CMCLI) and the web-based graphical user interface (GUI).

This course format includes both lecture and hands-on lab exercises to ensure an optimized student learning experience.

Target Audience:

Bytemobile customers (external and internal) and partners who desire an understanding of OSN product solutions and may be responsible for their installation, operations, administration, and maintenance.

Prerequisites:

  • UNIX/Linux and Windows knowledge
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN and TCP/IP networking concepts

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this training course, the student will be able to:

  • Provide an overview definition of Bytemobile optimization solutions, architecture, features, and functions
  • Understand OSN Monaco Edition 4.x and its network deployment scenarios
  • Differentiate between client-server and clientless optimization
  • Define the Bytemobile Optimization Client and how it is used
  • Describe the different optimization services and methods and supported devices and applications
  • Define the optimization network services and management facilities
  • Install the OSN Server, Control and State Module (CSM) and Optimization Client software on supported hardware devices
  • Verify OSN installation and operation
  • Configure the OSN and optimization services and methods using the CLI, the CMCLI commands and the web-based GUI
  • Monitor and manage the OSN/CSM installation
  • Perform hands-on lab exercises
  • Upgrade to the latest OSN/CSM software release
