Unleash the Full Power of Bytemobile’s OSN with Optimization Clients
The Bytemobile OSN is designed to operate with or without clients. Although clientless optimization offers significant data reduction and speed-up, the full power of the OSN is unleashed when combined with Bytemobile Optimization Clients (OC). Supporting all of the features provided in clientless operation, OCs accelerate data flow through any wireless network — including 2.5G, 3G and 3.5G. Bytemobile offers clients for two platforms: Microsoft Windows for laptops and Microsoft Windows Mobile for handsets.
Windows OC
Operators can distribute the Windows OC to their laptop subscribers for increased data reduction and download speed-up. It offers bidirectional optimization for dramatically reduced traffic on the uplink, enhanced support for non-HTTP protocols, more efficient client-server communication protocols for applications, and customization and branding capabilities — all of which help build customer satisfaction and loyalty to the operator’s brand while decreasing churn.

Windows Mobile OC
Bytemobile also offers operators the Windows Mobile OC to increase optimization performance for handheld devices. This client supports many of the same capabilities as the Windows version for laptops, such as personalization and customization. It also features a simple, intuitive user interface that is incorporated in the device browser.

Sprint has been a customer of Bytemobile’s since 2001. In 2009, Bytemobile Customer Marketing Services worked with Sprint’s marketing team to develop and execute a joint launch plan for the SmartView service – a Sprint connection manager integrated with Bytemobile’s optimization client.
