Traffic Processing with the OSN

Clientless solutions are cost-effective, work with all devices in a network and simplify service rollout. Client-server options offer greater acceleration and data reduction on both the uplink and the downlink.
OSN WebGate Service
The OSN WebGate™ Service is a mobile internet gateway operating as a powerful and flexible network proxy. WebGate Service facilitates traffic control, manages routing and other policies for the introduction of new services, and provides enhanced content filtering. Operators can apply various network-based policies to HTTP transactions, based on source, destination, user identity, device information, time and date, usage profile, and any other available transaction information. For example, policies can be applied to create captive portals, filter undesirable content, provide differentiated services, and enforce fair-use policies. WebGate Service allows operators to introduce personalized applications and pursue business partnerships with third parties by modifying headers and URLs. The application also provides a platform for coordinating services with an innovative ICAP architecture.
OSN Content Filtering
For carriers launching content filtering, WebGate Service offers optional integration with third-party URL databases such as the internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and other commercial information resources.
OSN MobileMatch Service
The OSN includes a powerful MobileMatch™ application with real-time personalization capabilities. The OSN MobileMatch Service empowers operators to reclaim a position of influence in the delivery of data from content providers to mobile users. Operators can enhance their value to both subscribers and content providers by leveraging insight into individual user preferences to deliver targeted advertising and dynamically personalized services. The profiling application features an innovative algorithm and methodology for web traffic analysis that — unlike other offerings — is always up to date. Analysis is performed in real time during each page request, and the results are immediately available to applications and content servers for deep personalization of the user experience.
