Revol Wireless Improves Network Capacity and Customers’ Mobile Content and Video Experience with Bytemobile

Revol is an independent telecommunications service provider based in Independence, Ohio. All devices on the Revol Wireless network will benefit from the Bytemobile® Unison™ Smart Capacity platform deployed at the core of Revol’s all-digital network, including the launch of Google Android smartphones available to Revol subscribers in January 2011.

Video consumption on high-end smartphones is a major contributor to traffic congestion in wireless networks worldwide. On average, touchscreen smartphones generate more than 50 percent of the network’s total data traffic – and in 2011 video will account for more than 60 percent of that traffic.
