Bytemobile Strengthens EMEA Operations with Appointment of Bryan Visser as VP and GM

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California - March 7, 2006

Bytemobile, Inc., the global leader in optimized Internet protocol (IP) services for mobile data networks, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Bryan Visser as vice president and general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. The company’s customer base in EMEA includes leading mobile network operators such as O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Telefónica Móviles, and Vodafone.

Visser joins Bytemobile from Openwave Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), where he was vice president and general manager, EMEA. He was previously managing principal, HP Services, at HP UK and Ireland. Prior to HP, Visser was vice president and general manager, EMEA, at Wireless Knowledge Inc., a joint venture between Microsoft Corporation and Qualcomm Corporation; and vice president, Sales and Global Services, EMEA, at Unisys Corporation, where he spent 15 years in sales and general management.

Visser is based in Bytemobile’s United Kingdom office in Uckfield. He reports to Steve Livingston, Bytemobile executive vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

According to Gartner Dataquest, the market for mobile data services in Europe, Middle East and Africa is expected to reach an estimated $73 billion by 2009, up from $34 billion in 2005. Morgan Stanley estimates that the region claimed approximately 37% of the world's mobile subscribers and 36% of its Internet users in 2005, and that Germany, the UK, Russia, and France will rank fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively, among country markets for mobile services by 2010.
