Bytemobile and Alice Systems today announce a partnership agreement which will join the strengths of the two companies and result in the integration of their market leading products into a powerful solution that enables operators to enhance their mobile data offering. Bytemobile, the company dedicated to accelerating the growth of the wireless data market, and Alice Systems, a dedicated provider of client software for simplifying access to mobile data services for fostering the use of Internet, intranet and extranets over wireless technologies, have developed an integrated approach for client software over mobile networks.
The integration of Bytemobile's Macara optimisation client into Alice Systems' connectivity products is a strong match — the Alice Systems products provide simplicity in usage of data services and the Macara client improves the speed and performance when using data services over Bytemobile-enabled networks. The joint solution provides a significantly enhanced data experience for mobile data users, with easy access to applications, for example, web browsing and email, and fast download times that are up to 10 times faster than those in unoptimised environments, and near LAN-like connectivity speeds.
Jorgen Lantto, president, Alice Systems, says, “The partnership between Bytemobile and Alice Systems will provide our customers with a 'state-of-the-art' product that greatly improves the data service offering of our customers. The combination of Bytemobile's expertise in data acceleration, compression and optimisation, and our expertise in connectivity and ease of use, will greatly enhance the user experience of mobile data.”
Adrian Hall, vice president of business development at Bytemobile, comments, “Today's announcement brings together two players at the cutting edge of the mobile marketplace. Bytemobile and Alice Systems share a common customer base, and together we can bring a strong and valuable offering to mobile data users all over the world.”
The partnership between Bytemobile and Alice Systems will give faster integration and time to market for mobile operators when deploying mobile data services incorporating compression, acceleration, connectivity and simplicity in usage to their customer base. It also eases distribution of the solution, as well as simplifying support. The bundled Bytemobile / Alice Systems software will be re-branded by mobile operators and then distributed to their data customers.
Bytemobile delivers on the promises of mobile data by enabling the way people really want to work and play in the wireless world.
Bytemobile's end-to-end solution — a unique suite of compression, acceleration and network connectivity technologies and services combined with IP packet networking, mobile cellular, applications and client device expertise — allows mobile operators and enterprises to significantly improve the user experience and security of current and future wireless data networks. This facilitates market development for both service providers and enterprises and ensures returns on existing and future mobile infrastructure investments are maximised.
