Solutions Engineering Manager

The Solutions Engineering Manager manages the solutions engineering team and multiple solutions engineering projects at our Bytemobile European Development Center (BEDC). This position requires the ability to manage development projects, manage developers, generate schedules, track progress, and resolve issues across multiple projects simultaneously. The Solutions Engineering Manager must also be able to work effectively with peers, partners and management in delivering customer-specific solutions to wireless data network operators.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and the sales force to generate statements of work for custom solution opportunities
  • Generate project schedules and budgets, track progress against schedules, manage dependencies, and communicate and coordinate with customers on delivering the solutions
  • Communicate status and issues to upper management
  • Staff and mentor the solutions engineering team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred
  • At least seven to 10 years’ general project and engineering management experience
  • Strong technical experience with mobile technologies
  • High degree of organization
  • Ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience in working with engineers and partners on the development of advanced solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate complex technical and business issues
