IT Lead (Patras, Greece)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform systems and network administration: management, documentation, support, planning, and evolution of
    • The heterogeneous computing infrastructure of the Bytemobile European Development Center (BEDC) (Windows, Solaris, Linux platforms)
    • BEDC networking infrastructure: LAN, VLANs, firewall/routers/DMZ, redundant internet links, VPN links, satellite/cellular links
    • BEDC development and quality engineering testbeds
  • Collaborate and coordinate activities with Bytemobile’s IT team
  • In collaboration with BEDC administrators:
    • Plan and evolve the IT infrastructure
    • Prioritize activities and plan timelines
    • Hire IT resources
    • Procure IT equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Four years’ experience in systems and networks management
  • Experience and expertise in IT procedures, policies, and planning
  • IT team leadership experience
  • Project management expertise
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in Solaris, Unix, and Windows systems management (Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Active Directory, Exchange Server)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Exchange management, backup, restoring operations
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting state-of-the-art
    • IP LAN/VLANs, wired/wireless
    • Wide-area IP networks
    • IP-based Virtual Private Networks
  • Advanced knowledge of and expertise in IP security
  • Knowledge of scripting programming languages (Perl or TCL)
  • Excellent oral and written command of the English language
  • Experience in collaboration with other teams in an extremely dynamic company environment
  • Fulfilled military obligations or official delay to join the army until December 2009
  • Experience with VoIP solutions a plus
