Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Patras, Greece)
The successful candidate will work with a talented team within Bytemobile to ensure high quality in our product lines, with dedication to ensuring the quality of the products released and the processes employed by the Engineering organization. Product quality assurance ranges from participating in requirements definition and design to verifying that the product meets customer requirements. Process quality assurance ranges from reviewing documentation to defining process improvements to make the organization as effective as possible. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, extend, and analyze test plans
- Test features that affect the global performance of a product or a network of Bytemobile’s products
- Design and execute performance, stress, automate, integration, and system interoperability tests
- Review requirements and design to ensure quality and testability
- Work with developers and product and project managers on quality issues
- Implement QA methodologies
- Review and verify customer documentation
- Ensure that product requirements are met
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with Unix, Linux and Windows
- Strong ability to analyze and quickly focus in on areas of anomaly
- Strong experience with Perl, Python, PHP, TCL, C/C#/C++, or Java Scripting and/or programming
- Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English
- Military obligations fulfilled (or deferred until December 2009)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with TCP/IP and networking protocols
- Experience with IMAP, POP, SMTP, IMS, Proxy AS, RADIUS
- Industry experience in telecommunications organizations
- Software development experience
