Quality Engineering Manager (Patras, Greece)

The Quality Engineering Manager will have significant responsibility in running the Quality Engineering team of the Bytemobile European Development Center (BEDC). The Quality Engineering Manager will lead a talented team of quality engineers who deliver high-quality, scalable, client-server adaptation solutions in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Quality Engineering Director. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead a multi-team QA organization for multiple products and coordinate with peers across multiple locations, as well as a history of process innovation resulting in improvements in quality, product development methodology, and test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the BEDC Quality Engineering team and associated Quality Engineering projects for the product lines undertaken by BEDC
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to plan test strategies for next-generation features and products
  • Manage testing efforts across multiple teams
  • Generate and manage the testing effort to the project schedule
  • Work with BEDC administration toward resource planning and budgeting for the Quality Engineering department
  • Improve BEDC’s product development and product quality process
  • Work with the QA engineers and development engineers to enhance test automation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • At least eight years in QA management, with a proven track record of accomplishment
  • Extensive experience in testing network-oriented products
  • Experience in developing automated test environments
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong team player and independent contributor
  • Working experience with protocols such as HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, and SMTP a plus
  • Experience managing the QA effort for client-server products and handset products a plus
