Cricket Manages the Data Traffic Surge with Bytemobile’s WebGate Service
In March 2009, Cricket Communications, a flat-rate service provider that offers a variety of feature-rich applications, identified the need for a centralized control point to manage the increase in data traffic, direct the data flow and simplify the delivery of new data services over its 30-state network.
To keep pace with the rapid growth of the mobile Internet, Cricket deployed Bytemobile’s WebGate™ Service, the next-generation mobile internet gateway.
Because of WebGate Service’s unique position in the core network, Cricket now has the ability to deliver innovative new data services and applications to its customers, while controlling data flow through intelligent service selection.
Cricket has been a Bytemobile customer since 2007, when it deployed the industry-leading web optimization application of the Optimization and Services Node (OSN).
